Chronic lead poisoning is a disease that many workers engaged in Lead Die Casting parts and a worker engaged in other work related to lead metal are most likely to encounter. So what are the symptoms of lead poisoning?
The main manifestations of chronic lead poisoning are neurasthenia, polyneuropathy and encephalopathy.
The first type is mental decline, which is one of the more common symptoms in the early stage of lead poisoning. The specific manifestations are dizziness, headache, general weakness, memory loss, sleep disturbance, and dreams. Among them, dizziness and general weakness are the most obvious. They are generally mild and are functional symptoms.
The second type is polyneuropathy, which can be divided into the sensory, motor and mixed types. The sensory manifestations are numbness of the extremities and sensory disturbance of the extremities and socks.
The third type is encephalopathy, the most serious lead poisoning. It manifests as headache, nausea, vomiting, high fever, irritability, convulsions, drowsiness, mental disorders, coma and other symptoms, similar to syndromes such as seizures, meningitis, cerebral edema, psychosis, or local brain damage.
So how can we prevent chronic lead poisoning while working?
It is necessary to adopt engineering and technical measures to eliminate and reduce the hazards as soon as possible, and to prevent and control occupational lead poisoning hazards, focusing on the following aspects.
(1) Adopt appropriate production processes, including feeding, discharging and packaging methods to reduce air pollution, pay attention to temperature and humidity during storage, and replace highly toxic substances with low-toxic substances;
(2) The operation of dust, toxic vapor or gas is carried out in a closed condition, supplemented by local suction. When hot and toxic gas occurs, a local exhaust hood can be used to control the diffusion of occupational lead harmful factors;
(3) Take remote operation and automatic operation, supplemented by personal protective equipment to prevent direct contact.
